It will further explore the impact of the pandemic on eating disorder presentation, exacerbation, and therapy from onset to re-entry including challenges and advantages of working virtually or in the office.

Empowering, Elevating, Embodying: Nutrition Professionals as Body Image Counselors

This workshop integrates feminist and relational frames to reflect on the historical forces that have stunted the role of the nutrition professional as body image counselor. Participants will explore both why and how nutrition professionals can more fully embody this role in the service of their client’s healing.

Become Sport Nutrition and Exercise Intuitive During Recovery

This presentation will explore creative methods for getting clients involved with balanced movement and fueling using a two-pronged approach to increasing movement with clients in a mindful fashion. Research on Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport, mindful movement approaches and a non-diet/intuitive eating and exercise approach in counseling will be presented.

A Weight-Inclusive Approach to Eating Disorder Treatment: Making Space for Every Body

Kimmie Singh, MS, RD, CDN

This talk will empower clinicians to better connect with, support, and advocate for people of size. In addition to reviewing the evidence in support of weight-inclusive care, this presentation will clarify misconceptions about weight-inclusivity and encourage clinicians to examine the roles of privilege and social marginality in eating disorder treatment.
